For the sounding board:

“ There came a day I met Anderson, after few days he let me know this “ my real name is Augustus” , and I felt a bit betrayed, I asked “ why did you not tell me your name was Augustus and I kept calling you Anderson “, he replied “ you did not want to know”. This was the first time Augustus and I met. He describes himself as smart but with loving words. “I was a great ruler and when I gave orders people obeyed”, he said. As he said that I felt, wow what the heck did I do to get a guide like this, I always knew we all have spirit guides but I did not know mine personally until November 2007. “I am one of their best teachers” , he let me know.. I asked him “well, what do you teach” , he stated “ we teach people how to be more loving”. And this was one of my quite a few conversations with him. I have apologized as it seems that my questions are so elementary for him and he has been so graciously humble with me and so patient.

I was shown, told and spoken to my “our” father, there is also a charming but such loving mother god along with him, they are compassionate, loving, … and I was asked to tell people a message from father. This was it “ tell them to not fear God, I love them very much”.. So, there it is.. I promised myself and him that I would tell this always to others… and I have been blessed to be able to do that.. and the words can come out of my mouth they will either fly or fall.. and I have done my job, and did it with love as we are designed for.

I know there are many people out there like myself, but sometimes the waters are so quiet that it is hard to hear the littlest ripple …I am hoping and wishing that my this little writing will serve a purpose for someone, it has for me because it gave me a space to talk and for kindred spirits to just listen. I also look forward to reading the lives of others in our country who may be experiencing similar situations.

We all have high credentials. I have a masters degree, I am a good wife, and a good mother. I am not religious but I am spiritual,

The Four Tantras

Happy Renunciation-Friday!

What are the development and completion stages?
There was a time when there were four distinct flavors of
Buddhist tantra:

#1 Performance-tantra,
#2 Action-tantra,
#3 Yoga-tantra,
#4 and Highest Yoga-tantra.

But for the past several centuries most of the high Lamas
have simply recommend the practice of Highest Yoga-tantra,
exclusively.
Why?

Because while many well-meaning folks
were trying to practice each of the Buddhist tantras every
day, the great, controversial, bold, saint, Atisha;
taught that if one practices Highest Yoga tantra, then
one was automatically practicing the three other tantras
simultaneously. Now that’s a time saver!

The various mental yogas of Highest Yoga Tantra
are often organized into three headings:

#1 Development stage,

#2 Completion stage,

#3 and Great Completion stage.

Completion stage is largely concerned with pleasure. First
bringing pleasure into the path of Awareness and then
bringing pleasure into the path of the wisdom of Letting-go.

What is the essence of Tantra’s Development stage?
Yesterday we discussed that it was karma. Karma? Yeah,
cause and effect. I think the 2nd “Matrix” movie focused a bit
on causality. Could you remember seeing it?

The great Buddhist saint, Patrul Rinpoche, taught that the
Compassion and Love of “Conventional Bodhichitta” are the
keys to karma. Typically there are two things we want to do
with Karma:
#1 we want to get rid of our Bad-karma,
#2 and we want to increase our Good-karma.

What is the most efficient, the most profound way of
purifying our Bad-karma? Compassion! Remember,
compassion is the choice, the will; to take-away everyone’s
sufferings and their causes. In pages 16-17 of
“Quick Path to Happy Peace” there are some very powerful
Semi-verbal meditations culminating in a silent meditation
that not only increases our compassion and Heart-bliss, but
also purifies everyone’s sufferings and the Bad-karma that
can cause them. Of Course the easiest way to learn these
meditations is to make arrangements to receive
live, telephone-teachings; like many of my other students
have.

If the essence of Tantra’s Completion stage are the yogas
of insight, then how do we bring this Heart-bliss of
Compassion into wisdom’s path of Letting-go? We’ll explore
that tomorrow.

P.S. Someone asked me yesterday if my instructional CD:
“Harnessing the Power of the Bowing Prayer” has anything to
do with the Tibetan practice of strenuously bowing. The
Answer is “NO!” What it has to do with is YOU and the
dynamic, energetic centeredness you could enjoy, when
you follow my easy instructions for as little as 90 seconds.
