COMMUNIVERSITY MISSION STATEMENT

The main mission of Communiversity Magazine and its primary focus is to create more community awareness unleashing the power of community involvement.

The intent of the feature stories published in Communiversity Magazine are to familiarize the community with available resources and information and to create public awareness of many valuable individuals with knowledge, experience and information available to share with others.

Our secondary goal is to present an array of educational workshop opportunities through an organized class listing and registration process free to the public.

The purpose of our free class listing service is to offer instructional classes, events, lectures and workshops on a variety of public interest topics provided by members of the community. Classes and workshop opportunities are to be arranged by topic, much in the same format as a standard college course catalog. They feature cultural and educational resources available in a variety of different locations.

Communiversity Magazine interviews and reports are intended to present reliable information to the public, including on site interviews with individuals and groups offering classes, and where appropriate will include photographs of the workshop or class location.

Communiversity Magazine will provide the community with eclectic information regarding events, classes, and workshops opportunities in a wide range of interests, including but not limited to health and healing, music and dance, art instruction, painting, pottery, crafts, game playing groups, athletic and dance events, finance, literature, writing, art, philosophy and metaphysics.

We have now implemented and organized an on-line magazine and class registration process. Sometime in spring of 2008 we will secure funding to publish and distribute our first hard copy. Communiversity Magazine is currently staffed by group of highly motivated volunteers who are now working together to achieve completion of the project.
